That’s why representation matters. That’s why mirrors matter.

If you’re the only one in your boardroom, your C-suite, your industry—find your mirrors elsewhere. Seek out the women who’ve walked your path. Follow leaders who inspire you. Build your personal board of directors with people who reflect your potential back to you.

Because when you see it, you can be it. And when you become it, you become a mirror for the next generation.

This week, I challenge you to catch yourself in those moments of harsh self-talk. Pause. Then ask: “Would I say this to her?” If the answer is no, rewrite the script.
